I’m Imogen Featherstone.
Pirikahu Village’s newest witch.
I’ve always hated my birthday, and this year is no exception: when my house burns down, I can suddenly create flames myself.
Apparently, my absentee father passed along Dragonfire and kept it suppressed inside of me.
Now, with new power, a toxic mother, no house, and no workshop for The Hoard Restored, I have no choice but to take Bastian up on his offer to live with him.
Talk about awkward: living with the man I had a one night stand with... a night I can’t even remember. A man who has demons of his own.
How am I supposed to control a magic shared with the dragons if I can’t even get through a session with my therapist without crying?
Dragonfire is a rare magic that people in power love to get their hands on. And I can’t defend anyone when I’m setting things on fire every time I get angry.
I need to get ahold of myself, my magic, my life before someone finds out the magic I have. And I need to keep Bastian at arm’s length, no matter how amazing his abs are, because I can literally set him on fire.
